AEW is going all out for the July 1 episode of Dynamite, as it will deal with the fallout from the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. That’s why the company has booked a memorable lineup with big matches to keep fans engaged from start to finish. Tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite features appearances from MJF and more, so it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. AEW Dynamite will be airing at 8 PM ET on TBS as well as streaming on MAX. The show will take place at the Viejas Arena in San Diego.
MJF will put his AEW World Championship on the line against Mark Briscoe on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. This comes after both of them competed in the Death’s Door steel cage match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 and Briscoe’s team won. So we’ll have to see who will win in the end. AEW will crown a new TBS Champion on Dynamite this week in a Survival of the Fittest match, which will see Harley Cameron facing off against Kris Statlander, Hikaru Shida, Queen Aminata, Persephone and Maika. Considering the skills of all competitors, it’s anyone’s game, so it remains to be seen who will become the new champion in the end.
MJF said that if Mark Briscoe wins the AEW World Title, the ratings for AEW Dynamite will plummet. MJF is not wrong, as he is the greatest minute-to-minute draw in AEW after CM Punk left the company and jumped ship to WWE. If MJF does not walk into AEW Redemption to defend the AEW World Title against Kenny Omega or even AEW All In to defend the title against Will Ospreay, it would be a mistake. When Willow Nightingale relinquished the TBS Title, all eyes were on her Babes of Wrath tag partner, Harley Cameron, to take home the gold for her best friend. Cameron has been long overdue for a singles title in her career, and AEW should not overlook her as the best option here. Statlander and Shida already had their time in the limelight, and the rest of the field isn’t ready for the title yet.
