AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event is finally upon us, and AEW has made sure to book a card that will ensure fans will be entertained from start to finish. The AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 pay-per-view promises to deliver high drama, incredible matchups, and storylines. With solid matches such as the Steel Cage Match, Swerve Strickland vs. Will Ospreay and many more matches, it’s definitely a show that fans shouldn’t miss. AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026 will be taking place on June 28 at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The Buy In pre-show will begin at 7 PM ET, and the main show will start at 8 PM ET.

Forbidden Door’s biggest match comes inside a steel cage as two six-man teams face off in what promises to be an all-out war. Mark Briscoe has assembled an impressive lineup featuring Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita, and Darby Allin to battle the team led by MJF, alongside Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Idolo. The bout will be bloody, so we’ll have to see who will win in the end. Kevin Knight, along with the rest of The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, & Andrade El Ídolo), has joined MJF’s team. Meanwhile, Briscoe’s team consists of Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita, and Darby Allin. AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla declared war on Wonder Ring Stardom and laid the challenge for Forbidden Door. Stardom star Starlight Kid answered the challenge, setting the stage for a high-stakes title showdown.

The finals of the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will take place at Forbidden Door. The Men’s side will see Will Ospreay face off against Swerve Strickland, while Mercedes Moné will square off against Maya World. The winners will get a shot at their respective World Titles at All In in London, so it remains to be seen who will win in the end. The AEW Women’s World Championship will be defended as Thekla puts her title on the line against one of Stardom’s biggest stars, Starlight Kid. Thekla has enjoyed an impressive championship reign, but she’s got her work cut out for her because Starlight Kid’s no slouch. So fans are waiting to see whether the Toxic Spider can beat Kid.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage defend the AEW World Tag Team Championships against David Finlay and Clark Connors. This all started after the Dogs interrupted Copeland and Cage’s championship celebration last month, and now they’re determined to beat the veterans. So we will have to see whether Cage and Cope will put down the Dogs once and for all. Jon Moxley defends the AEW Continental Championship against Bandido following the events of AEW Dynamite this week. New Japan Pro-Wrestling gold will also be on the line as IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Shota Umino defends against PAC. The Young Bucks face Sky Team and Unbound Co in a trios match. Thunder Rosa and Olympia challenge Divine Dominion for the AEW Women’s Tag Titles in the Buy In. Finally, Skye Blue faces Maika in the Survival of the Fittest Qualifying match.
