The June 2 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show as the company is building towards their Premium Live Event. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night. Tonight’s episode of NXT has a ton of action in store for fans. With the likes of Tony D’Angelo and more on the show, it’s definitely something fans shouldn’t miss. WWE NXT will air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, starting at 8 PM ET.
The NXT Championship will be on the line when Tony D’Angelo defends against Kam Hendrix. Hendrix inserted himself into the title picture last week when he attacked D’Angelo during a confrontation involving Naraku. So we’ll have to see how Hendrix will fare against D’Angelo. Lexis King defends the WWE Men’s Speed Championship against Romeo Moreno. Moreno earned this opportunity after winning the tournament to become the number one contender. King has been dominant as the champion but Moreno’s determined to make a name for himself, so it remains to be seen whether he can pull off the upset win over King. Last week on NXT we also saw an interesting interaction between new NXT star Naraku and Tony D’Angelo. D’Angelo was assuming that Naraku wants a championship match like everyone else on the roster, but Naraku surprised everyone when he said he will fight to keep D’Angelo champion because it is their “destiny to go to war”.
The feud between Lizzy Rain and Zaria reaches its next chapter tonight. Two weeks ago, Zaria attacked both Rain and NXT Women’s North American Champion Tatum Paxley following their championship encounter. The situation went to another level again last week when Rain and Zaria brawled backstage. So now they’ll face each other in singles competition this week and fans are waiting to see who’ll come out on top in the end. Tate Wilder will square off against Jackson Drake in one-on-one action. That’s not the end of it, as Myles Borne and Tavion Heights face DarkState’s Cutler James and Osiris Griffin in tag team action. Next week on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo will be defending the NXT Championship against Kam Hendrix. Ever since Hendrix made his debut a few weeks ago he immediately had his eyes set on the gold.
