WWE taped the July 7 episode of NXT on June 30 at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and the spoilers are now out. Here are the spoiler results for the taped show, which included title action, a number one contenders match, and a few post-match attacks.
Layla Diggs won a four-way match against Izzi Dame, Lizzy Rain, and Thea Hail to become the number one contender for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Niko Vance also picked up a win over Shiloh Hill, but the celebration did not last long. Shawn Spears attacked Vance with a chair after the match. Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice interrupted Kali Armstrong during the taping, but Kali got the last laugh by laying both of them out. The show also featured an NXT Women’s Championship match, where Kendal Grey retained her title against Nattie. Kendal will also have to keep an eye out for other lurking contenders who want their own shot at gold. Conspicuous by her absence last week, Lola Vice will most likely be looking for a shot to win her title back at some point. Kelani Jordan continues to roll after beating Tatum Paxley last week. During that match, Kali Armstrong looked to make an impact on the champ directly when she jumped Kendal, who was watching at ringside. And after that match, Nikki Blackheart, who will reportedly be known as Reina Volcan in NXT, debuted by attacking Paxley.
Kendal Grey (with Wren Sinclair) defeated Nattie (with Karmen Petrovic and Nikkita Lyons) to retain the NXT Women’s Title. Early in the match, Sinclair tried to stop Lyons and Petrovic from getting involved, leading to both attacking Sinclair. Lola Vice joined her, and the four brawled to the back. Grey and Nattie had a competitive one-on-one match from there before Grey got the win with the Shades Of Grey. After the match, Jaida Parker laid out both Petrovic and Lyons before having a staredown with Nattie near the entrance. Kelani Jordan, Kali Armstrong, and Lola Vice all came to the ring, standing on different parts of the ring apron surrounding Grey as she stood tall with the NXT Women’s Title. Kali Armstrong spoke in the ring before being interrupted by Lola Vice and, soon after, Kelani Jordan, who all made their case for wanting the NXT Women’s Title. Vice and Jordan brawled while Armstrong laid both out simultaneously with the Kali Connection.
